Karen Flamenco Presents - Peter Pan
Shows:
Saturday June 16th 2012 - The Centre for Performing Arts - Vancouver, BC - TICKETS
Blurb:
This is the story of a boy who would not grow up.
Peter Pan and his fairy companion, Tinkerbell, have
flown from Neverland to the London home of the Darlings, where they hover by the window, listening to Wendy telling stories to her brothers, John and Michael.
When Peter and Tink return for his shadow, he meets the Darling children. Together, they fly to Neverland where they find the Lost Boys, fairies, the Indians of Neverland, ethereal mermaids and, of course, Captain Hook and his hoard of pirates!
J.M. Barries’ Peter Pan is getting a fresh, sophisticated and, dare we say, a grown up facelift in the upcoming performance presented by the Karen Flamenco dance school, lead by talented Vancouverite, Karen Pitkethly.
Following the highly successful debut production of Romeo & Juliet- a tale of feuding bandidas, mysterious gypsies and tragic love - Karen Flamenco gave new life to the story of Moulin Rouge, set in the sultry tablaos of Sevilla, Spain.
This June, join us for a night of flamenco enchantment as this young dance
company presents the story of forever youth. Escape to a world of fantasy and
whimsy and experience the magical sounds of flamenco, second star to the right
and straight on till morning.
