DANCE LESSONS
- My
mandate is to offer affordable and professional dance lessons, in a comfortable and non-intimidating atmosphere
- Having
trained in ballet, contemporary and flamenco dance; students will be taught how
to appreciate their body as a dancer
- Students will get one on one encouragement and constructive criticism as each
student will have different, specific needs
PERFORMANCES- Support the local flamenco talent and educate yourself in the world of flamenco; there is a growing flamenco community in Vancouver and many nights where local talented artists perform
- Below are a few groups which i am fortunate to be a part of - whether you are in the mood for the theatre, a nice meal, cup of coffee or evening of dancing come check out the world of flamenco:
"Poema Flamenco" If you are looking to sip sangria and enjoy the songs and dances of traditional flamenco -We perform weekly at different venues around Vancouver"Tambura Rasa"If you are looking for a night of world fusion and kicking up your heels. Tambura Rasa will get your toes tapping.I perform a few different flamenco dances including a dance collaboration with Leah the stunning belly dancer.We usually perform once a month at various venues in Vancouver"Aurora Dance"Or an evening at the Theatre, where you will be able to step outside of the traditional flamenco, and see other talented artists in other dance disciplines.A contemporary flamenco dance company co-founded by Karen Pitkethly & Palma BjarnasonWe try to produce one show per year, usually at the Music Recital Hall UBC |
