Karen Flamenco Snow Queen 2012

Snow queen is a theatre experience for families young & old to come and celebrate this holiday season. Child friendly!

This winter, Karen Flamenco’s presentation of Snow Queen takes the intoxicating flamenco rhythms of vibrant Southern Spain and sets them against a land of ice and frost. Karen Flamenco is an acclaimed and unique dance company known for its collaborative and interactive flamenco performances. Following the highly successful summer debut production of Peter Pan, the Karen Flamenco Company are delighted to enter into the magical world of Hans Christian Andersen and continue to bring flamenco to a wider audience through theatre and dance.
This holiday season, join the Karen Flamenco Company as they embark on a journey sparked by evil and guided by enduring love in Snow Queen.
A mischievous goblin brought into being a mirror with the power to distort all that was reflected within it. A young boy named Kai falls victim to this evil goblin’s spell and is held captive by the Snow Queen. With unwavering love for Kai, his loyal friend Gerda sets out to rescue him. Gerda’s journey takes her on a fantastic adventure through the seasons where she encounters wondrous and magical characters, aiding her on her way to confront the Snow Queen.
This production features the Karen Flamenco Company along with a host of classical Spanish and traditional flamenco musicians to create a unique and enchanting theatre experience.
